We want to get you certified! The Chirico Career Center offers plenty of opportunities to become certified in many Microsoft Office products before graduation. As part of our Friar Four Career Core program, we currently offer paths for students to gain certifications. These certifications make a great addition to any resume or LinkedIn profile!

Our workshops offer a structured setting to cover the material necessary to ace the certification exams. Certification workshops are offered each semester and over breaks. Please click the registration links for more information about each course, including class meeting dates and locations.

ALREADY CERTIFIED?

If you are already certified and are looking for your certificate or badge for LinkedIn, you can:

• Download your certificate at Certiport under “My Transcript”
• Find your LinkedIn badge through Credly

SUMMER 2024 WORKSHOPS:

Summer 2024 workshops will meet for up to six class meetings, with the certification exam taking place on the last day. Registration information is forthcoming.

SELF PACED WORKSHOPS:

Self paced workshops offer an alternative certification course for students unable to attend workshops in-person.

• Microsoft Excel Core – Self Paced 2 | July 1 – 31 | Asynchronous
• Microsoft Excel Core – Self Paced 3 | August 1 – September 6 | Asynchronous

Please note: Registration for the self-paced workshops will open one week before the course begins and close one week before the course concludes.

TESTING:

Testing is offered virtually in the last week of each synchronous workshop. The instructor for your course will provide instructions for how to sign up for a time. For self-paced workshops, testing opportunities will be communicated throughout the course by your instructor.

In order to sit for an exam, you must:

• Complete 80% or more of the appropriate JasperActive exercises, and
• Score a 70% or greater on a GMetrix Practice Test in Testing Mode

Students in synchronous workshops that miss more than one class session are not able to sit of for the exam.
