Funding for Students

Are you a Providence College student with an internship looking for financial assistance during the course of your internship program? The Chirico Career Center offers a variety of funding programs and grants to assist students throughout their internship experience and job search experience. Internship Funding Opportunities

VERITAS Distinguished Internship Program
  • All Majors
  • Sophomores and Juniors
  • Summer Internship at a non-profit, 501(c)(3) or government organization
IDEI Experiential Learning Program
  • Experience would be related to diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives
  • Open to enrolled non-graduating Providence College students of any major
  • Priority is given to internships in the Providence community
  • Opportunities can be remote, in-person or hybrid

Feinstein Institute Summer Fellowship
  • Internship must be a requirement of 150 hours of service during the summer
  • Open to enrolled non-graduating Providence College students of any major
  • Priority is given to internships in the Providence community
  • Internships can be remote or in-person
  • Internships must be with a non-profit (A group organized for purposes other than generating profit and in which no part of the organization’s income is distributed to its members, directors, or officers)
Environmental Conservation
  • Biology Majors
  • All class years
Gilbert V. Lavoie Science and Business Fellowship
  • Science, business or law majors
  • Rising Juniors & Seniors
  • Internship must incorporate science and business
Boisclair-Mandell Student Athlete Experiential Education Program
  • Student-Athletes
  • All class years, all majors
  • Minimum 40 hours / Maximum 200 hours

Career Development Success

Thanks to generous gifts from PC alumni and corporate sponsors, students have the opportunity to apply for funds to assist with costs incurred when participating in events to further career and professional development. Students are invited to thoughtfully apply for funding to support them with costs such as: transportation, workshop/conference fees, online training fees, unpaid shadowing or internship program costs, interview outfit reimbursements, interview travel reimbursement, networking opportunities incidentals, etc.
